Do you love Tina Turner songs? Remember What's Love Got to Do with It, Simply the Best, River Deep Mountain High, Fool in Love, Nutbush City Limits, and many, many more? Well, Act II has ALWAYS wanted to do a Tina Turner Tribute show, but has been waiting for just the right person to make it happen. So, along comes Reality TV Star and Singing Sensation, Diana Villamonte, one of the most talented entertainers who has ever crossed our stage, who has been starring all season to sold-out audiences in "Motown and Beyond!" Many people suggested that Diana's uncanny resemblance to Tina Turner, both physically and vocally, would be PERFECT for a Tina Turner show. When we approached Diana with the idea, she was thrilled and told us that Tina Turner is her favorite singer!

Tina Turner is an icon in the music industry. She began her career in 1958 with then-husband, Ike Turner. They split up in 1976, and Tina launched a major solo come-back in the early 1980's with a string of hits and albums. Today, at age 78, she is still performing to sold-out audiences, and is known as "The Queen of Rock and Roll." She is one of the world's best-selling artists of all time and has received 11 Grammy Awards, 3 Grammy Hall of Fame Awards, and is slated to receive the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award later this year.

Diana has quite an extensive background as an artist, as well. As a child, she studied music, ballet, modeling and theater. She entered her first singing competition at age 10 and performed in several local plays. In 2014, she won the Karaoke World Championship in Stockholm, Sweden, and was asked to participate in the Tokyo International Karaoke Competition for the following two years. She sang as the "guest artist" at the competition in Singapore in 2015, and as a result of the notoriety she received, was asked to star in a reality show on television in Central America. She now has a huge television following AND has become a HUGE STAR in Puerto Vallarta!

Diana Villamonte's "Simply the Best: The Tina Turner Tribute Show" is going to be "magical" and a dream come true for Act II! Act II is excited to confirm that Gabe Arciniega, currently starring as Dr. Frankenfurter in Rocky Horror Show, will present his highly-successful "The Gabest Show on Earth" for TWO SHOWS ONLY on Mondays, February 12 and 19th.

During this past summer, Act II created the "Spotlight on Vallarta" series of cabaret acts, which highlighted the local talent of Puerto Vallarta. Gabe Arciniega thrilled sold-out audiences with his astounding The Gabest Show on Earth! This theatrical triumph, which was produced, directed, and co-written by the fabulous Alfonso Lopez, was filled with beautiful music, poignant stories, incredible comedy, exuberant dancing and lots of GOSSIP about his days of touring with "Cuchi-Cuchi" Charo! This show is actually one of the most talked about shows in Act II Entertainment history!

A relative newcomer to Puerto Vallarta, Gabe moved here from California and was immediately cast as the lead character of 'Richard Hannay' in Act II's production of 39 Steps, as well as 'George Bailey' in It's a Wonderful Life. He is now thrilling audiences with his critically-acclaimed performance as 'Dr. Frankenfurter' in Rocky Horror Show.

Shortly thereafter, he created a "big fuss" in Puerto Vallarta, too, as we fell in love with this wonderful, new singing sensation! He has become an international star and is much in demand in Mexico, Canada, the U.S., and Europe. Paul's vocal range has been compared to the great crooners of the American songbook, and especially the high vocal range of Frankie Valli. It is no wonder that this artist chose to present the music of The Four Seasons for his show, including Dawn, Rag Doll, Can't Take My Eyes Off of You, and Walk Like a Man.
