Avocados From Mexico has a targeted line-up of retail and online promotions this fall designed to build the category and spur avocado lovers to "Savor Every Moment."
"Our new communications platform, 'Savor Every Moment' and this year's programs are focused on enhancing the shopper experience and retail efforts," Stephanie Bazan, senior market development director of Avocados From Mexico, said in a news release. "We will help remind consumers how the addition of fresh avocados can turn every meal and every occasion into moments they can savor."
To celebrate the "Savor Every Moment" launch and highlight the fall football season, AFM returns this year with the "Tastiest Tailgate" program, in partnership with Lime-A-Rita.
The "Tastiest Tailgate" program, running through Dec. 31, offers store merchandising, consumer savings, in-store radio, digital support, and retail-specific programming.
Avocados from Mexico is introducing a new joint-bin display, with side stackers for Lime-A-Ritas. The bins work as a destination for game-time snacks and beverages in produce sections or perimeter of the department, according to the release.
Digital and social media for the tailgate promo include paid digital support, and an AFM landing page for recipe ideas and promotional support.
Avocados From Mexico will be distributing a variety of offers:
• Mail-in rebate: Up to $3 on the purchase of three or more avocados;
• Ibotta digital offer: $6 rebate on 3+ avocados & 1 Lime-A-Rita 12-pack or larger;
• Catalina offer: Buy three avocados and get one free; and
• Coupons.com offer: Save 75 cents when you purchase 3 avocados
Through Oct. 14, Avocados From Mexico is returning with the "Toast To Your Heritage" campaign, targeting Hispanic stores across the US. Consumers can take advantage of an in-store coupon, recipe tear pad, and offer to save $2 with the purchase of any Bimbo Bread product, any Tabasco Sauce product, and two avocados. The campaign also features digital and social media and merchandising, and a consumer savings offer.
AFM will celebrate Hispanic pride throughout the month with 22 Facebook Live videos featuring celebrity chef, Jesus "Yisus" Dias from Univision's "Despierta America." Each video, according to the release, showcases an avocado toast recipe inspired by a different Latin American country. Fans can enter to win a year's supply of Mexican avocados.
