La Penita de Jaltemba, simply known as Las Penita, is a seaside brick-making village that perches on the sandy edge of the Bay of Jaltemba along the shores of Nayarit. The beach is broad and clean, with surf good for swimming, body surfing, and boogie boarding. Afternoon winds are often brisk enough for sailing and wind surfing, and snorkeling and scuba are excellent at Isla Islote.
The scene is vintage Pacific Mexico, and our Las Penitas photo gallery showcases images of the good life in this little slice of paradise.
