Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Some of the best extreme bikers in the world hit the streets of downtown last weekend for the third edition of 'Down Puerto Vallarta,' an exciting urban biking competition that was part of the municipality's 101st anniversary celebrations.
Puerto Vallarta's majestic Sierra Madre mountains, beautiful Bay of Banderas and iconic Malecón provided the perfect background for the 40 national and international athletes that competed in the race's two categories: Urban Descent and Freestyle, both of which took them from the Sierra Madre's Cerro de La Cruz to downtown's El Malecón on a panoramic 900 meter long speedway.
An awards ceremony immediately followed the competition, with medals and cash prizes awarded to the first three places in both categories. And the winners were:

Second Place: Pedro Ferreira (Chile)
Third Place: Camilo Sánchez (Colombia)
