Ambushed Peter Wells Scott - PVNN
| Many pictures show a visible bulge in his suit jacket that is thought to be a transmitter he often wears so advisors can coach him during public appearances. | When Vice President H.W.Bush was in power, he constantly maintained that he was 'out of the loop' when it came to the facts surrounding the Iran Contra affair. During this time, however, a secretary's office in the Executive Office Building where the Vice President's office is located recorded, on a weekly basis, reports of comings and goings of multifarious latinos.
How would it be possible that the former Director of the CIA could be out of the loop? Big Bush's lack of knowledge of scandalous activities happening under his nose seems to have set a precedent for Bush junior. He seems to have been misinformed on virtually every subject that could be construed as illegal or politically damning.
Recent polls suggest that 46 percent of the people view Bush Jr. as dishonest. Dishonesty breeds dishonesty. He claims that we went to war to uncover weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and yet no weapons or even clear evidence of weapons were found. His rationale in capturing Saddam Hussein was that it made the world a safer place and somehow shielded the world from further terrorist threat.
For perhaps the first time in American history, a president has made his personal agenda the agenda of the American people at large. Indeed an ill wind blows across the land. Saddam had failed in an attempted assassination of Bush Senior. This became the personal agenda of this president. 'Bring em on' was his response to threats of retaliation by Al Queda.
The result has been in excess of 1750 American deaths, and many thousands more wounded. Contrary to the prognostication of Vice President Cheney that terrorism is in the last throes, new attacks occur almost daily and the global perception of the United States has been horribly marred. This world has more terrorism happening now than it did prior to September 11th 2001, the invasion of Afghanistan and the quagmire that is Iraq.
There is much speculation as to the real nature of the attacks on the Twin Towers and the Pentagon as well as the fate of flight 93 in Pennsylvania. Many are called to wonder how a President could sit calmly at a table reading to school children in Florida when he had been informed of major terrorist attacks on US soil. Eight minutes passed before he moved into action.
This is the same president that some have accused of being coached through an earpiece during his debate with his opponent in the last presidential race. Many pictures show a visible bulge in his suit jacket that is thought to be a transmitter he may often wear so advisors can coach him during public appearances.
The national feeling is that starting this war was a mistake, reminiscent of Viet Nam. The sentiment of 'win at all costs' is quickly losing its appeal. And yet, the President is feeding the same pabulum to the masses. We have been ambushed, and the consequences are horrific.
The Titanic took a while to sink, but once the dye was cast it went down quickly. So let it be with Caesar. The underbelly of the United States is soft. It does not bode well for maintaining its status as a world class power.
On September 24th the White House will be bookended by an antiwar demonstration on one side, and a gathering impeachment movement on the other. Like the Titanic, demise doesn't happen all at once, but once the forces are set in motion, it is difficult to reverse the tide. This will be a more severe attempt than what occurred during the Clinton administration, and could easily approach what happened during the Nixon administration. And with parallel results.
It is time for the people to speak, and to speak in such a way that the President doesn't need coaching through an earpiece to understand the message. |
