September is the month when Mexico celebrates Fiestas Patrias, or Mexican Independence with the Grito of "Viva Mexico!" Here in Puerto Vallarta, streets, homes and businesses are already decorated with the red, white and green of the Mexican flag in preparation for the special events planned for the week-long Independence Day celebration.
