Festival Nautico Schedule March 1-14

March 3, 4, 5 - WesMex Optimist Regatta, Start time: 12 noon each day
March 4 - Governor's Boat Parade 10:30 am - 1:30 pm
March 4 - Governor's Cup Yacht Race 2 pm
March 4 - Festival "La Cruz de Huanacaxtle" an event for Pangueros from both Jalisco and Nayarit who participated in Governors Boat Parade. Held at La Cruz town plaza, 2-6 pm in the afternoon following the Parade
March 5 - Mexorc (Mexican Ocean Racing Circuit) Race begins. Windward-Leeward Regattas #1 and #2
March 6 - Mexorc Americas Cup Format Regatta #3
March 7 - Mexorc Regatta #4 to the Tres Marietas Islands
March 8 - Mexorc Lay-Day, No Races.
March 9 - Mexorc Panorama Regatta #5, Windward-Leeward Regatta #6
March 10 - Mexorc Windward-Leward Regattas #7and #8, Awards Banquet
March 11 - Big Cat Rum Raft-Up Rafting to 3 large catamarans in Nuevo Vallarta Lagoon, starting 3 pm. Richard Spindler's Profligate and other big catamarans host a world-record attempt dinghy raft-up with live entertainment for the price of a rum punch.
March 12 - Panga Stampede from Los Muertos to La Cruz de Huanacaxtle with teams of pangaleros from Jalisco and Nayarit competing for trophies, fame and fortune followed by the First Annual Marinero Fiesta in the town square at La Cruz.
March 13-14 - Festival Nautico Seminar Series at Paradise Village Resort. Presentations on the history, ecology, flora, fauna, animal and sea life of Banderas Bay 9:30 am - 8 pm.
Sundays in March
Vallarta Yacht Club Open House and Barbecue every Sunday during Festival Nautico, open to the public.
