Rape and Sexual Assault Survivor Group in Vallarta PVNN
| If you have been raped or sexually assaulted recently, or if it happened to you a long time ago but changed your life, therapist Sueanne Hagemann invites you to join a Free Rape and Sexual Assault Survivor Group that she is starting in Puerto Vallarta. | Survivors of rape and sexual assault often experience changes in their overall health and mental well-being. Women who have been raped, many times, face an enormous uphill emotional battle to regain self-respect, self-esteem, self-assurance, and self-control.
This is a battle that can be won with the help of caring and supportive group of other survivors. As a rape survivor you may be experiencing flash backs, insomnia, anxiety, depression and many other ongoing problems.
It may be difficult to discuss these problems with family or friends who do not, and can not, understand. You may be thinking, "I should be over this by now," or "When is it going to end?"
If you have been raped or sexually assaulted recently, or if it happened a long time ago and changed your life, not only can a support group help you to resolve some of the pain, but it will also give you the chance to help other women who think they are alone.
The Puerto Vallarta Rape and Sexual Assault Survivor Group will be lead by local therapist Sueanne Hagemann. Not only does Ms. Hagemann have years of experience working with rape and sexual assault survivors, but she is also a rape survivor.
If your interested in joining the group, please contact Sueanne at 223-8001 or send an email to sueannehagemann@gmail.com. |
