With so many activities going on, February is going to be a very busy month, not just at Hospital Cornerstone but throughout Vallarta. This month we celebrate Valentine's Day... but I like to refer to it as Día de Amistad (Friendship Day,) as it is here in Mexico. Give your friends a hug, tell them how much they mean to you!

CALLING ALL ANIMAL LOVERS
It's time to organize volunteers for the Third Annual PV Dog Show – a benefit to help street dogs and cats, an opportunity to see some of the most fabulous dogs on the bay, and a lot of fun besides. Happening at the sports stadium across from the Sheraton the weekend of February 24 and 25, your help is much appreciated, even if just for half a day. Sell tickets or give out info or prizes, there will be lots going on in an exciting family ambiance. CUALE ISLAND CAT ADOPTIONS
Starting Saturday February 3rd, there will be adoptions of the Cuale Island cats in front of the South Side Rizo's store every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 pm. The new administration has already set plans in motion to get the cats off the island once and for all, with many good reasons. But we have a temporary stay, the PV Animal Acopio is working with us to get as many healthy cuties out of there as quickly as possible, so they can be neutered, spayed, and adopted. But this needs to be a concerted, coordinated effort. So please help us. RISE ANNUAL FUNDRAISER
On Saturday, February 10th the American School is the place to be for the Annual R.I.S.E. Fundraiser. This event is one of THE most popular events of the season to raise funds for the Santa Esperanza Orphanage a non-profit shelter for babies and children. Tickets available at various locations throughout Puerto Vallarta and cost just $450 pesos for food, beverages and entertainment.
WISE WOMEN OF VALLARTA
After only two very successful gatherings, this new group has turned out to be extremely popular! CLEAN OUT YOUR CLOSET and join in on the fun, Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Restaurant Boca Bento, (Basillo Badillo #180) from 10 am til 12 noon. Bring some of those clothes or jewelry that you know you will never use and trade/barter with others for THEIR treasures! Or, just come with a few pesos and see what kind of deals you can get!

On Wednesday, February 21st, Peggy and Ron Roloff from the Hit TV Series "Little People in a Big World" will speak on their lives, the TV series and their family at the International Friendship Club House from 10 am to 12 noon. BANANA CANTINA'S CELEBRITY FUNDRAISER
