Mexico Party Wants Cuba Relations
Prensa Latina

| | President of the Mexican Democratic Revolution Party (PRD), Leonel Cota Montano | Havana, Cuba - President of the Mexican Democratic Revolution Party (PRD), Leonel Cota Montano highlighted the importance of resuming relations of his group with Cuba.
Cota told Granma daily that the PRD was absorbed in internal life activities of the organization for two years but opened the international agenda with a trip to the Caribbean Island.
"Cuba is still alive, has matured in recent years and the Mexican people have always kept the friendship alive" said the leader.
"Mexico presidential elections 2006 were rigged and the PRD was opposed to the right wing party that allegedly won," considered Cota.
He said they are presently working to preserve the Wide Front with the Labour and Convergence Party and strengthen the image of Andres Lopez Obrador, as the resistance figure.
"Mexico has 40 million inhabitants living in poverty," added Cota, "which is why many migrate to US to get away from local problems." |
