Americans Bring Independence to R.I.S.E.

Puerto Vallarta - This week's Charity Bingo halftime show at the Lazy Lizard promises to be the best yet! Why? Because Debbi from Banana Cantina will be our "Hostess with the Mostess," as she presents the Americans Bring Independence to R.I.S.E. party and parade from 7 to 9 pm on Thursday, July 5th.
Ok, so it's a day late - but hopefully it won't be a dollar short! Join your fellow Americans on July 5th for a fun-filled Independence Day celebration to raise money for a good cause.
Debbi has planned all kinds of fun contests before and after the Parade, giving you the chance to win all sorts of prizes, like the gorgeous amber necklace and earring set worth at least $75 USD donated by Gem Casa for the most independent costume.
Not to mention other fabulous prizes, like the wonderful canopy tours donated by Los Veranos, to be awarded to the winners of the most elegant, most outrageous and most green - recycle! - costumes.
There will also be plenty of fun and games, including three legged races, egg and spoon competitions, watermelon eating contests, and all the things that make America great at Lazy Lizard Bingo this week.
Los Bambinos will be performing a Beach Boys set at precisely 7:20 pm, so don't be even a minute late - too much fun is being packed into this night, and you can't afford to miss a bit of it.
Though I think it's a fun idea, I have been told that the raising of the starred, [and frequently stripped] Blu Suit might be frowned upon by some - but hey, I'm a crazy "Kiwi" - not a respectable American.
Any way you look at it, this week's Charity Bingo Night at the Lazy Lizard promises to be a night of fun for one and all. So get dressed up in your most outrageous gear, bring decorations and flags, and be prepared to have a lot of fun.
Come early for delicious hot dogs and hamburgers, to watch the Marigalente fireworks, and to play some bingo! it's going to be a busy night, but we'll definitely squeeze the bingo in there somewhere...
I look forward to seeing you all this Thursday night between 7 pm and 9 pm at the Lazy Lizard on Los Muertos beach next to La Palapa. The food is great, the drinks are cheap, the entertainment is the best in town, and it's all for a really good cause!
