| President Calderón Inaugurates Tecpan de Galeana, Guerrero Bypass. | | Tecpan de Galeana, Guerrero - Mexico is progressing on the basis of freedom, justice and development which Federal Government promotes in each and every one of its actions, declares President Felipe Calderón, during his inauguration of the Tecpan de Galeana bypass on Guerrero's Costa Grande, which, in addition to reducing costs and transport times for local inhabitants, will improve their living standards.
Accompanied by Governor of Guerrero, Zeferino Torreblanca Galindo and Secretary of Communications and Transport, Juan Molinar Horcasitas, the President declared that the necessary measures are being taken to reactivate the economy, at a time when investment is required to create jobs.
A propos of this, President Calderón declared:
“Our mission is to defend the freedom of Mexicans, the freedoms that are threatened either by crime or authoritarianism, freedoms that have to do with the commitment Federal Government is showing through deeds, not only in the expansion of infrastructure, but also as regards a crucial problem for people in the country and in this region, namely the lack of safety on the streets.
He declared that this is why all possible measures are being taken to reactivate the economy. "We are opening the doors to education to an increasing number of Mexicans so that they can carve out a better future for themselves. That is why we are expanding access to health and public services through the Popular Insurance Scheme, so that more families can live better."
The Tecpan de Galeana Bypass, which required a $200 million peso investment, continues the coast road between Acapulco and Zihuatanejo. “It is essential to link the state’s two most economically important cities,” said President Calderón.
He declared that there is no better public spending than that which focuses on society's key tasks, which have to do with investment in people and things, "Investment in people, through education and health, for example, and physical investment, investment in infrastructure, roads, ports, airports, hospitals and universities.” |
