The popular WEBshow Banderas Beat is going into its third season, and its creator could not be more happy with viewer response. The program, which can only be seen on Puerto Vallarta's Liveliest Website, premiered on BanderasNews.com in September 2007, features stories about life in the Banderas Bay area, plus monthly weather forecasts and special reports.
Launched by Laura Gelezunas, the owner of Video Diva Productions, the Banderas Beat show had humble beginnings but grew to accommodate various multi-media styles. It was the first and now longest running WEBshow originating in the Bay of Banderas.
"I first approached the owners of BanderasNews.com in 2006 because I was looking for a PV web developer to incorporate my videos on my website, VideoDivaProductions.com. Believe it or not, a lot of local website development companies are not versed in this aspect," says Laura.
"Together, we put videos on my website and then moved into video reports for BanderasNews. It is very exciting to be part of something totally new in Puerto Vallarta, and working with professionals who are willing to try new things is exceptional."
"Technology changes rapidly and we are doing everything we can to create video features that everyone can enjoy," says BanderasNews.com local editor Denise Derameé. "Video is hot on the Internet and we were willing to take a big step forward when Laura first approached us. Taking a chance on something new is always challenging, but this one proved to be right on the mark."
Banderas Beat premieres on the 1st and 15th of every month, covering everything from the hottest places to eat, drink and shop to information about Banderas Bay area attractions, events, and charitable organizations.
