Clean Beach Certifications in Banderas Bay Theodore Koumelis - Travel Daily News go to original October 16, 2009
Villa Premiere Hotel & Spa, the luxury boutique retreat and sister property, Buenaventura Grand Hotel & Spa’s Playa Camarones has earned “Clean Beach” certification from The Mexican Institute of Certifications, the long serpentine stretch of golden sand beach is located in front of each hotel. The official announcement for certification of Playa Camarones was made at the Fifth Conference of Clean Beaches in Nuevo Vallarta, Nayarit this past August.
“We are thrilled that Playa Camarones has been recognized as an environmentally clean beach,” said Sasa Milojevic, Managing Director for Villa Premiere Hotel & Spa and Buenventura Grand Hotel & Spa. “It is important that the beach located in front of our two hotels provide a clean and serene atmosphere for our guests to enjoy and match our high standards of quality and excellence.”
To qualify for “Clean Beach” certification, a beach must be found to be completely clean within and area of over 1,000 square feet. The quality of the water, sand and atmosphere must be in excellent condition and free of any debris or particulate contaminant. There cannot be more than five cigarette remains, cans or bottles over a 12-week period. Public Services of Puerto Vallarta have spent considerable time and effort cleaning Play Camarones to obtain certification. |
