Maybe Bin Laden is Just Misunderstood

So much room for speculation, in regards to Major Hasan going on a rampage on his own troops... The way I look at it, this is a microcosm of 9-11 with Hasan essentially playing the role of Bin Laden. It's a fact that an Islamic dimension is present if reports that he yelled out 'Allah Akbar' as he began firing are true. But suddenly, because it's a US Military member, the guy could actually have legitimate reasons for what he did, or maybe he's a misunderstood recluse, or we don't really know, but no one is calling for him to be hanged the way they did for Bin Laden. (Who do we invade, Texas?)

I honestly do not understand the disparity. I don't buy into the argument that 3000 dead is bad, but 13 not so much... 1 is too many in my book if it's for some messed up reason (or without any reason soever) the figure is irrelevant.

The motive (we are told) is the same in both cases, Hasan's and Bin Laden's: to strike at the Great Satan. All I'm saying is if we're going to figure out legit reasons behind shooting rampages or acts that seem terroristic (though they may not involve civilians—but those are issues of semantics), then maybe Bin Laden also has legit reasons.

This Fort Hood event has to cause the so-called War on Terror to be redefined. Are we to think that jihadism is a philosophy that can actually compete with the western mindset? I mean, here we are 8 years after 9-11 and Al Qaida is still a strong organization that can act in different theatres at a moment's notice. Plus now they're even within our own military. This isn't something that can be solved by sending more troops to Afghanistan or to Iraq or anywhere.

The psychology of such a movement must be dissected and analyzed and seen for what it is. Perhaps there's more merit to it than we have been willing to give it credit for, but finally an American Soldier will give it a new dimension. It will expose this cancer for what it is, and show its two-facedness.

How it's possible to go to mosque one minute and be on a shooting rampage the next. It's not a coincidence. Where are all the champions of Protestanism raising their voices of concern at either the spread of Islam or Catholicism or any other mass-brainwashing programme. The fact is they're all in bed with each other and no one criticizes any one else. As long as the people are being duped and controlled, the technique used to control them can vary.

No one stands up for Truth, anymore. Why do I even bother trying to say anything. Go back to your Nascar racing watching or your World Series watching. That's more important...
