2010 Puerto Vallarta Writers' Conference Individual Tickets for Feature Presentations

Of interest to those who cannot attend the 2010 Puerto Vallarta Writers' Conference, Biblioteca Los Mangos will be selling "Feature Presentation" tickets at the door for $250 pesos for each presentation. This represents a fund raiser for the Library. There will also be t-shirts and hats on sale.

The three feature presentations and times are:

Friday, February 26, 2010
5:30 to 8:30 pm, in the Benefactors Salon
Video presentation from Kathryn Blair, author of In the Shadow of the Angel. Conference Keynote Speaker Elizabeth Kadetsky - "The Literature of Reality." No-host cocktail reception follows.

Saturday, February 27, 2010
4:30 to 6:00 pm, in the Benefactors Salon
Conference Featured Speaker Marcos McPeek Villatoro - Writing and Filming Tamale Road No-host cocktail reception follows

Sunday, February 28, 2010
11:30 am to 1:00 pm, in the Benefactors Salon
Conference Featured Speaker Dave Lieber - If a New Yorker Can Make It in Texas, Imagine What You Can Do! Reception afterward followed by book signing event on the beach in front of Daiquiri Dick's.

Former Puerto Vallarta US Consular Agent Jenny McGill's book Drama and Diplomacy will be for sale at the signing on the beach, thanks to Howard McGill. He has around a dozen signed volumes.

Barbara Sands has been a resident on Calle Cuauhtémoc since 1981. She was born in LA and grew up in Long Beach, Santa Paula and San Marino. Later she lived in Berkeley, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Menlo Park and Monterey. Between times she worked in NYC, Munich, Paris and DC (28 years). Vallarta has been her full-time home since 1997 and she has written for most of the local publications. She began writing on a manual typewriter and labored on every IBM electric typewriter model before graduating to a computer in the 1980s when displays
