6th Annual Vallarta Flower and Garden Show

Vallarta Botanical Gardens is hosting its Sixth Annual Flower and Garden Show from February 21 – March 2, 2014. Many of the Gardens’ celebrated native and exotic flower collections will be in peak bloom from February to early March and they'll be celebrating this special time of year with a full week of garden-related lectures, presentations and demonstrations. Break up the day with lunch at the Hacienda de Oro Restaurant. Overlooking the sparkling Rio Los Horcones, Hacienda de Oro is the perfect setting for a dining experience that will make your day at the Flower and Garden Show one you won't soon forget. Don't miss your chance to enjoy the Gardens’ beauty and learn about local plants in their natural environment during the Vallarta Botanical Gardens' Sixth Annual Flower and Garden Show. FREE Health and Wellness Expo at Plaza Marina

Plaza Marina will host a Health and Wellness Expo on Friday, February 21st & Saturday, February 22nd from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. This FREE and open to the public expo will feature 40+ exhibitors, from doctors to naturopaths, gyms and yoga studios to organic and health food suppliers. There will be entertainment, singers, dancers, air-acrobatics and demonstrations. Dr. Jim Starr will speak on "Abundance in Your Life" both days at 6:00 pm. For more info call (322) 221-1607.

Paradise Plaza Celebrates 14 Years

On Saturday, February 22nd, the Paradise Village Group will celebrate 14 years since the opening of the Paradise Plaza shopping center with a Gran Fiesta! With its wide variety of colorful shops and restaurants offering discounts all day long, food tastings, and live music and DJs playing music for dancing on the magnificent marble floors of the spacious atrium, this anniversary celebration promises fun for the entire family. Dress to Give Fundraiser, February 28

Voluntario DIF has just announced their 'Dress to Give' fundraising event is scheduled to take place in Strana night club's Black Room on February 28th at 8:30 pm. This fashionable event will feature a fashion show with designs by Fer Santos and other well-known designers, so you can check out all of the latest styles while supporting the municipal Child Protection Agency (Dirección de Protección a la Infancia, or DPI), and the many assistance and preventative programs they provide to local children in need. Tickets are $150 pesos per person, which includes two beverages, a raffle for a Sergio Bustamante sculpture donated by the artist himself, and the opportunity to see a stylish fashion show.
