Diego Cadena, Philip 'Bodoque' Hernández, with the addition of brothers Travis and Dylan Southworth, will be among the contenders to win the surfing trophy of Riviera Nayarit in the San Pancho Pro 2011. This is a competition exhibiting the finest surfers on the short board.

The tournament, which will be held on the beach in San Francisco between January 14-16, 2011, will also have space for amateurs in the form of short board competition and for the women's category and below 18 category.

Surfers from around the country and other parts of the world will contend for the trophy of this first tournament of the San Pancho Pro, which is expected to have participation of around 100 contenders and nearly two thousand spectators.

The competition is being organized by Christianos Surf Team, captained by Artemio Rosas, and aims to promote this sport as an example for a healthy life and good behavior.

The program includes live music and stellar presentations of pin DJ, hip hop and Rap-Tado - who will give a festive touch to the tournament closing party.

Since the creation of the Riviera Nayarit promotions three years ago, high quality tourism has been attracted to this area, which has been the main priority. It is not only a marketing plan, but a strategy led by Governor Ney González Sánchez for integral development of the community to raise not only the economic indexes but the well-being of society in general.

High-performance sports are a key niche to achieve this goal, and it is strongly focused on people achieving goals. Support events such as San Pancho Pro 2011 attracts tourists and the media interested in covering the events - a formula that greatly helps positioning in the tourist marketplace.

Office Visitors and Conventions (OVC) in Riviera Nayarit congratulates the team of Artemio Rosas, because their initiative and drive in sporting competitions contributes to the efforts of tourism promotion.
