The Eighth Annual Hook the Cure fishing tournament, powered by IOTEC, returns to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico November 7-10, 2013, and it promises to be, per norm, much more than your average catch-and-release offshore event.

Not only will participants enjoy one of the greatest fishing locales in world, first-class all-inclusive accommodations at Villa Premiere Hotel and Spa, gourmet meals, celebrity appearances, spa treatments and exciting nightlife, but everyone involved knows that there's a far greater purpose at hand.

"That's really the beauty of Puerto Vallarta's annual Hook the Cure event," said Bob Huston, who, along with Jeff Jennison, chaired last year's event. "Obviously, we're in a beautiful place and we're here to enjoy ourselves, with the best of everything you could possibly imagine. And it's so much fun, with so much to do with real competitive fishing and a Nicklaus-designed course at Vista Vallarta Club de Golf. But there is an underlying purpose. And that is to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation."

This year's I.G.F.A.-qualifier fishing tournament promises to be bigger and better than ever, with special celebrity guests, impressive awards, incredible prizes, and amazing auction items. Anglers are provided with bait, gear, boat, license, lunch, drinks and bilingual crew. The 40-mile wide Banderas Bay is an ideal location for catching Pacific Sailfish, Blue and Black Marlin, Dorado and Giant Yellowfin Tuna.

The Hook the Cure Tournament, an official event of the Redbone Tournament Series, is not just for anglers. It also caters to those who'd rather 'hit the links' or spend the weekend being pampered, thanks to the golf and spa packages that are also available.

Golfers will be treated to world-class golf at Vista Vallarta. Breathtaking views, grassy hillsides, natural creeks and arroyos provide the perfect setting for these signature courses designed by the world's greatest players: Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf.

Participants in our spa package receive a $250 spa credit and can select from a variety of relaxing services, which include massage therapy, facials, microdermabrasion, waxing and spa packages to calm your mind, body and soul.
