Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - A group of capitalist businessmen are building a renowned shopping center in Puerto Vallarta. Called 'La Isla,' the new mall represents a new and attractive concept that already operates in other major Mexican tourist destinations, such as Cancun and Acapulco.

The business group will build La Isla Puerto Vallarta with typical Mexican characteristics, respecting as much as possible the image that this destination has in Mexico and abroad.

The commercial project will be located on the north side of the Grand Venetian touristic real estate development, overlooking the Pitillal River.

Contemplated work would involve a comprehensive series of jobs, which includes the remodeling and renovation of Peninsula Plaza, enclosing 'The Island' property, and building a connecting bridge over the Pitillal River.

Thus the project of La Isla Puerto Vallarta would combine two areas: the Peninsula shopping plaza, which the capital business group has already acquired for an undisclosed amount, and the property on which the 'Very Mexican' mall will be built.

To realize this project, the Group also acquired the land located on the north side of the Grand Venetian development, which represents a corridor-type entrance that will go from Avenida Francisco Medina Ascencio Avenue to the foot of Holi Beach.

Once operational, the La Isla Mall will boast stores and brands of national and international prestige, upscale restaurants and boutiques, and the added "plus" of being connected to Peninsula Plaza by a panoramic bridge.

The group of investors that will make this ambitious project a reality has extensive experience in luxury real estate and commercial center developments in the country.

There is talk of a large investment and the possibility that next year they will be ready to build the plaza, which they anticipate will be operational by the end of 2015.

With commercial investments like this continuing to stream into Puerto Vallarta comes the imminent recovery of the tourism industry in Puerto Vallarta, and the country in general.
