Breast Cancer Awareness Events in Puerto Vallarta

September 30, 2016

As we work together to promote awareness, honor breast cancer survivors and remember those that lost the fight, we hope that you will participate in Healthcare Resources Puerto Vallarta's October activities.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same.

As we work together as a community to promote awareness, honor breast cancer survivors and remember those that lost the fight, we hope that you will participate in Healthcare Resources Puerto Vallarta's October activities. All of these no-charge events are going to be educational, informative, delicious - and pink!

On Thursday, October 6th from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, Hospital San Javier Marina will host a 'Pink Wave Cocktail.' This Open House is going to be stellar! Pink cocktails, pink goodies (both sweet and savory), free raffle drawings for some lovely prizes, plenty of pink ribbons and more. Grab a partner, pal, spouse or neighbor and please stop by. And we hope you will wear something pink!

Northern Bay folks are invited to join us on Monday, October 10th at 10:00 am at Hospital San Javier Riviera (next to Paradise Plaza) for a 'Pink Wave Coffee' to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month 'Up North.' This is a gorgeous facility - ask us to give you a tour.

On Wednesday, October 12th at 10:00 am, 'Things You Need to Know About Breast Cancer – and Everything New!' at Hospital San Javier Marina will feature Dr. Daniel Velasco (oncologist), Dra. Claudia de Moral (radiologist, breast specialist), and Dra. Fabiola Gallegos (physical therapy medicine), covering many topics, including: Breast Cancer in Men; Are Mammograms Safe?; New Available Studies; Understanding Pathology - and much more.

On Wednesday, October 19th at 10:00 am, Hospital San Javier Marina will present 'Breast Cancer Survivors - Their Stories.' Listen to these brave women tell their own personal stories of how they dealt with this disease and became breast cancer survivors. I am so very honored to have them participate in this presentation. We hope you will attend and honor them with us.

Remember, these are all no charge events, so we hope to see you at these Breast Cancer Awareness Month gatherings. Knowledge is power! If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email me at pamela(at)healthcareresourcespv.com.

Our October Newsletter is coming soon and will include information about our regular monthly Mammogram Clinic, along with our other October clinics and speakers programs.

We look forward to seeing you throughout the month of October!
