Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - After their first successful fundraiser concert, "The Jazz Awakens," at Act II Stages last Sunday, the Salty Paw Jazz Orchestra has announced that they'll be giving a free concert at the Breakers Beach Restaurant and Bar in Bucerķas on Sunday, December 4 at 4 pm. Come chill with us!
About the Salty Paw Jazz Orchestra
By Victor Kris, Founder and Director
Inspired by the Puerto Vallarta Big Band, the Salty Paw Jazz Orchestra started as a youth-based workshop where any and all musicians can come and feel free to express themselves artistically through improvisation.
The program has an academic base of jazz history, theory, and ensemble. Though violin, flute, and clarinet always included in the ensemble, the group is open to more than just traditional jazz instruments. The program has a focus on teaching individuals to be themselves, be proud of who they are and what they can create in the moment, while having fun.
The program is also free to anyone locally who would like to hear and learn about jazz. If you can play an instrument, you can play with us.
The Salty Paw Jazz Orchestra is a privately funded program that relies on fund raisers and donations from the community for financial support. Salty Paw is honored to be the first youth-based jazz orchestra in Puerto Vallarta and will continue to be a proud part of this great community.
Everyone is invited to come out to Breakers Beach Restaurant and Bar in Bucerķas on Sunday, December 4, to enjoy the free concert and show your support of these aspiring local musicians.
Breakers Beach Restaurant and Bar is located at Av. del Pacifico 15, Bucerias, Nayarit, just 11 miles north of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport.
