Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - On Saturday, October 13th from 10 am till 2 pm, and again on Monday, October 15th from 10 am till 4 pm, the Centro Universitario de la Costa in Puerto Vallarta will be hosting 'The Cannabis Caravan,' a nationwide tour offering lectures and workshops about medical marijuana, with a focus on education and commercialization.

FREE and open to the public, this Medical Cannabis Conference & Expo gives anyone interested in the cannabis industry the opportunity to learn about Cannabis and Medicinal Marijuana. There will be international lecturers and workshops to provide knowledge of the medicinal marijuana industry, and experts will be on hand to talk about where Mexico stands on the legalization of cannabis.

Gold Leaf Smoke Shop, which was the first store of its kind in Bahía de Banderas when it opened in October 2012, will be celebrating their 6th Anniversary just as the cannabis activists arrive in Puerto Vallarta.

Located at Lázaro Cárdenas 379 in El Centro, Gold Leaf Smoke Shop sells E-cigarettes, vaporizers, water pipes, incense, and much more. And, on Saturday, October 13 they'll be throwing a party from 6-10 pm to celebrate 6 successful years in Puerto Vallarta.

In addition to music by DJ Joaquin Estrada and the debut of a new mural by local artist Emilio Bustamante, Gold Leaf's 6th Anniversary Party will feature conversations with some of the activists from the Cannabis Caravan, including Carlos Zamudio, editor of La Dosis magazine. Free T-shirts, grinders, and other cool merchandise will be given away throughout the celebration.
