Hi all and welcome back to many!
I had good intentions of getting a newsletter out by November 1st... Well, mid-month is better than nothing I suppose! November has so far, been a whirlwind of activities - from charity events to welcome back parties, weddings to birthday parties! Add to this many patients being admitted to various hospitals, the flu, surgeries and beauty rejuvenations (by patients, not me!) along with preparing for the high season programs I seem to be meeting myself coming and going. And it seems to take a bit longer to get anywhere these days due to stopping to visit with so many snowbirds returning. Welcome one and all!

General Healthcare and Insurance Information
Dates: December 1, 2008 and December 3, 2008
Cost: No charge.
Meet with us on a one on one basis to go over your current insurance to see if it covers you in Mexico, choose a personal physician and sign up for a Meet and Greet meeting with him-her, register with the American consulate, ask and receive answers to your healthcare questions as they apply here in Puerto Vallarta. This is especially important for newcomers! Receive a full packet of information on all health-related services in the area.

Yes - I know! We had some glitches last month but we are ready to rock and roll and have the best ever this month. Just wait and see the changes! We have 200 spaces ONLY. RSVP MANDATORY. $100 pesos - complete breakfast includes tip (with lots of coffee this time!), fun vendors - meet new people! Bring a friend & wear a smile. Special tables for newcomers! Doors open at 9 am. Breakfast service begins at 9:30 am. Promote your business or charity. You'd be surprised just how many great connections are made at Breakfast Club! It is all about networking!

This is always the event that "kicks off" the high season! Great food, drinks and some fabulous raffle prizes. Help raise funds for Sally Conley's little library that was created to plant the seed of the love of reading to the children of El Pitillal. We will have many gift baskets for sale, large and small and you should see them! Amazing!

Do you need an honest, great, bi-lingual attorney? We are proud to work in conjunction with Rolo Romero. He can assist you with preparing a Mexican will and answer legal questions (specializing in real estate). Please contact me for information. Remember! A do-not-resuscitate order-living will are not recognized legal documents here in Mexico. Best to be prepared!
And speaking of being prepared HealthCare Resources works in conjunction with Celis Funeral Parlor offering pre-paid funeral packages. Again, not something you want to think about, but definitely helps to be prepared.
We are also working in conjunction with IMSS (Seguro Social) and have packages available to assist you, actually walking you through the sign-up procedure.

Encore - Several times a day, people ask me, "Where do you buy your clothes?" I buy nearly all of my clothes at Encore, owned by Mikki Prost (pvencore(at)yahoo.com). A huge array of clothes, all sizes and brands at affordable prices. My absolute favorite clothing store in Puerto Vallarta! To get there, just head East on Lazaro Cardenas. Once you pass the Mercado, just a couple more blocks (prior to the bridge), on your right.
Remember that you can see both the PVMirror and The Tribune online and it looks great! Another fine resources is, of course, BanderasNews, which is updated several times a day with all of the latest news from Vallarta, Mexico and the world.
