Dear Kelly Trainor,

I am sending you this account of our experience in Mexico and I would like you to deliver this letter to Seρor Jorge Antonio Garcia Rojas (the chief law enforcement official to whom the Puerto Vallarta police, fire and Transito officials report) and the local media, in appreciation and recognition of a "job well done."

Since most people send letters to complain about their treatment in (Puerto Vallarta) Mexico, we felt compelled to relate our experience. My husband and I were involved in a car accident on April 17th in the vicinity of Costco.

A car ran the stop sign hitting our car in the rear causing the car to spin out control, flipping onto the passenger side and skidding about 30 feet. (As a) HIT and RUN, (it was) a terrifying experience to say the least.

People living in the area or driving by immediately came to help. At least 10 people stopped to help remove us from the car. Since the car was still laying on its side this was not an easy job. The police, firemen and EMT arrived on the scene within minutes. Everyone was courteous and helpful.

Jenny, a girl who lived in the area and witnessed the accident stayed with us the entire time, since she was bilingual she helped with our limited Spanish. The police notified our insurance company and their adjuster was on the scene in less than 20 minutes.

The police took charge and did an excellent job. The Firemen disconnected the battery to prevent a accidental car fire and the EMT removed the glass from my husband's hand. We then went to the Cornerstone Hospital and were treated for minor injuries. Again we had excellent care.

Thank you to all that helped.

Sincerely,
Mrs. M
