Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Meet physicians, ask questions, learn about local labs and diagnostic centers, hospitals – any and every thing to do with your health and well-being - during the Puerto Vallarta Medical Matters Conference at the Marriott CasaMagna Resort on February 11, 2013.
HealthCare Resources Puerto Vallarta, The US Consular Agency, the Hotel Marriott and Sharp Hospitals are proud to be hosting some very distinguished physicians as featured speakers at this year's Medical Matters Conference, including Registered Dietician, Nathalie Batilliot, and Puerto Vallarta Dentist, Dr. Octavio Lomeli-Gonzalez.
Nathalie Batilliot is a Registered Dietician as well as a Clinical Bariatric Nutritionist. Born in France and married with one (handsome!) son she lives in Puerto Vallarta full time. Her office is at Hospital Amerimed, where she is the director of Nutrition Services and oversees all of the diets for inpatients and coordinates with the chef for the hospital all of the meals.
She created the concept of "fusion nutrition" where the meals are not only healthy but arrive beautifully presented. She graduated from the Universidad de Valle de Atemajac with a "Diplomado en Nutricion"and has participated in a vast array of classes and seminars including nutrition for Bariatric surgery and Association in Argentina of dietitians and nutritionists.
Nathalie does clinical nutrition work with Bariatric surgery patients with Dr. Armando Joya and as well, now has her own private practice working with a wide variety of types of patients where she especially enjoys focusing on diabetes and is currently pursuing becoming a diabetes educator. We are proud to have Nathalie participate as a speaker at Medical Matters where she will speak on "Pre-Diabetic/Diabetic Diets - Creating a Healthy Eating Plan." She will speak at 1:00 pm in Salon Vallarta VI.
Dr. Octavio Lomeli-Gonzalez is a true Vallartense who decided to follow his family's trade of dentistry. He has a well respected resume of education as he studied at the University of Guadalajara after which he received his post-graduate certificate in Occlusion and Rehab from CIERO in Mexico City.
Dr. Lomeli has three post-graduate diplomas in Implantology (Surgical, Prosthetic and Advanced) from the Melz Institute of Cuernavaca as well as a Master's Degree in Science from Centro Universitario de Los Altos. He has a current program where groups of dentists come every few months from various parts of the world to study and work with him for two weeks on his implant methods.
Apart from being an honored dentist, he is multi-lingual, a well respected tenor, a martial arts master and a fine horseman. He has a sense of humor, patience and compassion. We are very proud to have Dr. Lomeli participate in our Speakers Program at Medical Matters. He will be speaking on "Trends in Modern Dentistry" at 2:00 pm in Salon Mexico-Cozumel.
