The July newsletter is fairly short as some of our physicians will be on vacation, so we are cutting back on some of the clinics this month. Below, please find the scheduled clinics and, if you would like to participate, send an email to me at pamela(at)healthcareresourcespv.com with the clinic you would like to attend. You will receive an appointment confirmation with complete details of time, location, etc.

Mammogram Clinic
July 15 & July 29, 2014
$920 pesos (PLUS members pay $820 pesos)
Digital mammogram, ultrasound (if needed) and manual exam along with a review of the mammogram. Our radiologist is a female, breast specialist. As well, this includes a manual exam by an oncologist.

Skin Clinic
July 18 & July 24, 2014
$300 pesos – (PLUS members pay $250 pesos)
Performed by an oncologist who will check your skin for skin cancer from the top of your head to the bottoms of your feet!

Ear Clinic
July 23, 2014
$375 pesos (PLUS members pay $325 pesos)
Have your ears checked (and cleaned if necessary) by an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist. One of our most popular clinics! *Note: This is NOT a hearing test!

Women's Clinic
July 29, 2014
$775 pesos (PLUS members pay $690 pesos)
Pap smear, pelvic exam and consult by female GYN. *Labwork recommended prior to the clinic at a special discounted price.

Audiologist: Our super audiologist, Dr. Christina Boover, will be here July 25, 26 and 27, 2014. If you have hearing aids that need repairing/checked or if you need a hearing test, please email me as soon as possible for an appointment because she fills up quickly!

Cardiac Stress Testing: We are continuing the special price on treadmills with our cardiologist through August. Regular price: $2,800 pesos. Summer Special Price: $2,000 pesos (cash only).

Colonoscopy/Endoscopy: Discounted prices. These are done on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the mornings – by appointment only.

Of course we are available for physician referrals, insurance questions – anything and everything health related!

Summer Stuff

• We continue to meet on Fridays (around 11 am) at Fireworks to paint ceramics. No skill necessary (I promise!) Feel free to join in. I send an email out on Sundays with an upcoming movie, summer activities – if you are not on the list and would like to be, please let me know.

• The end of July, I will be having a fun and unique luncheon at a local (air conditioned!) restaurant. I am finishing up the details now. If you would like information/to attend, please send me an email.

• We are always in need of items from our Wish List – including bars of soap (both large and hotel size), shampoo (both large and hotel size), school supplies, bandages, receiving blankets, onesies (for newborns), backpacks – and all are very much appreciated!

• The hotter it is in Puerto Vallarta, the nicer it is in San Sebastian. Cool breezes, sometimes downright chilly! Think about a night or two at the Hacienda Jalisco as an escape from the heat and humidity. We now have our summer prices!

• As well, we will be doing a day trip (group) to the Hacienda Jalisco with lunch and tour of San Sebastian. If you would like to join in – fabulous! Please send me an email for details.
