This is a screening for skin cancer performed by our oncologist (not a dermatologist) from the top of your scalp to the bottoms of your feet.

Our ENT will check your ears and "clean out the gunk" if necessary. Note that this is not a hearing test.

Mammogram Clinic

Digital mammogram, ultrasound (if deemed necessary) and manual exam along with a review of the study. Our team consists of a breast specialist and oncologist. Please take care of this very important study!

Our vascular specialist will evaluate the blood flow in your legs and arteries. If you have varicose vein, leg pain, this is the clinic for you.

Consult and EKG by a cardiologist with evaluation. This is quite a bargain as a regular consult with EKG is $920 pesos!

Women's Clinic

Pap smear, pelvic exam and consult with our female GYN.

We have an audiologist that comes once a month from the United States to perform hearing tests, repair hearing aids, sells hearing aids. If you would like an appointment with her, please let me know.

Are you diabetic? Pre-diabetic? We have a wonderful dietician who is also a Licensed Diabetic Educator. Email for information/appointment.

Our physicians are all board-certified, bi-lingual, compassionate and (as per comments from their patients) superstars! We have all specialties including gastro, orthopedic, ENT, oncologist, cardiologist, GYN, neurologist, pediatric, podiatry, vascular, internal medicine, nutrition, dermatology, ophthalmology, urology, complimentary medicine and immune disease. To make an appointment, all I need is your name and phone contact. Normal wait is not more than a day (sometimes two!)

Medical Matters 2015

Mark your calendar for February 9, 2015 as we present Medical Matters 2015. Each year, this event just gets bigger and better. 60+ exhibits of healthcare-related businesses/physicians in the area and non-stop Speakers programs (this year we will have three rooms going!). No charge for this event! Held at the beautiful Hotel Marriott in Marina Vallarta. You do not want to miss this! Each year, I am in need of a few volunteers to assist with various activities. There are WAY too many activities going on in the area for the month of December to list them here! We suggest that you check the BanderasNews.com events calendar for a more complete list. Updates daily!

Here are just a few things to do in Puerto Vallarta this month:

• You can paint Christmas ornaments or create handmade gifts at Fireworks/Los Mercados.

• You can attend a cooking class – many offered in the area!

• You can gather together donations of toothpaste, deodorant, baby blankets, gently used clothing, school supplies, shoes to share with those less fortunate.

• You can attend a Christmas concert.

• You can shop at one of the many markets in the area! Don't forget the regular Flea Market downtown. Sometimes it is fun to go there and be a tourist and pick up some interesting items at great prices!

• You can attend the Peregrinaciones, Guadalupe Processions, downtown until December 12. This is something you absolutely do not want to miss! And then eat some delicious, traditional food in the plaza!

• You can take an excitting day trip with Superior Tours!

• The list is endless!

Colors on Canvas Holiday Art Exhibit - December 11, 2014

It's been two and a half years since a group of us formed the group Colors on Canvas PV. The purpose was to paint and exhibit together and give each other support and feedback. Much has changed since then, and there are just two of us left. But we are still painting!

Mary and I are now busy planning an upcoming exhibit, and we invited Edwige to join us. Our painting styles are very different; we have large and small canvases in a wide price range. Maybe a Christmas present for a friend? A painting to hang on your wall to remind you of a great vacation in Puerto Vallarta?

The exhibit will be at the upper level of the Sea Monkey restaurant on Thursday, December 11th from 4:30 to 7 pm. (The Sea Monkey is the first restaurant on the beach south of El Molino de Agua, on the corner of Vista del Sol Condo complex on Aquiles Serdan and the beach) We hope you come, have a meal and a cold drink at the restaurant and see what we have been painting. 10% of every sale will be donated to the Puerto Vallarta Public Library, Biblioteca Los Mangos.
