Here at HealthCare Resources Puerto Vallarta, we stay busy all summer and our clinics stay full. I don't think we really have a "low season" here anymore. Just a little "less busy."

April Clinics

Our clinics are all screening clinics. To reserve a space, just send an email to pamela(at)healthcareresourcespv.com stating which clinic you would like to participate in. We will send you your appointment information and details including location, map, etc. We always attempt to accommodate requested times if at all possible.

Skin Clinic
April 14 and April 29, 2015
Price: $300 pesos – PLUS members $250 pesos
This is a skin cancer screening check by an oncologist (not a dermatologist). He checks from your scalp all the way to the bottoms of your feet.

Mammogram Clinic
April 16, 2015
Price: $1,100 pesos – PLUS members pay $950 pesos
Includes a digital mammogram, breast ultrasound (if deemed necessary), manual exam and complete review and explanation of your films. This is performed by a breast specialist and oncologist.

Foot Clinic
April 17, 2015
Price: $300 pesos – PLUS members pay $250 pesos
Have a complete evaluation of your feet and toes by our foot specialist. Check for fungus, corns, and bunions – the works!

Women's Clinic
April 21, 2015
Price: $775 pesos – PLUS members pay $690 pesos
Pap smear, pelvic exam and consult with our (female) OB/GYN. * Optional lab work prior to clinic at a discounted price.

Cardiac Clinic
April 22, 2015
Price: $550 pesos – PLUS members pay $500 pesos
Cardiac evaluation with an electrocardiogram performed by a cardiologist. * Recommended lab work prior to the clinic.

Ear Clinic
April 24, 2015
Price: $375 pesos – PLUS members pay $325 pesos
This clinic is performed by an ENT who will check inside your ears and clean if necessary. Note: This is NOT a hearing test!

Eye Clinic
April 27, 2015
Price: $425 pesos – PLUS members pay $400 pesos
Vision exam, pressure test for glaucoma exam and evaluation by an ophthalmologist.

Vascular Clinic
April 28, 2015
Price: $400 pesos – PLUS members pay $350 pesos
Our Vascular specialist will evaluate your blood flow, varicose veins, and your risk factors for vascular disease.

We also offer: Colonoscopies, Endoscopies, Complete Men's and Women's Check-ups, Audiologist, Plastic Surgery, Physical Therapy, MRI, Shingles Vaccines, and much more!

We do not sell insurance. But, we do work closely with a good variety of insurance representatives who offer international, travelers insurance, and air evacuation policies. Please contact me for information. Insurance is very important!

PLUS Membership

We do have a very low-cost membership program that can be purchased for 6 months, 1 year or 2 years. What are the benefits? Many! Discounts on our clinics, 50% off on teeth cleaning, complete medical record kept by HealthCare Resources, and much more! It is important to note: You do not need to be a PLUS member to receive our services! We will hold your hand regardless for your health care needs. Plus members, I like to say "we hold both hands!" HealthCare Resources

Watch for a new direction that HealthCare Resources is taking! We are working on our new website and re-assessing some of our clinics and services, with a lot more focus on our wonderful physicians! It's time to freshen things up a bit! It is important to remember that we are an INDEPENDENT company – not "employed" by any specific hospital/businesses. We have contracts with 25 physicians of all specialties and NEVER work on a commission basis. We have contracts with three hospitals (San Javier, Medasist and Amerimed).

We are also very happy to set up a time to meet, one on one, to go over a personalized health plan for YOU. From personal physician referrals to end of life decisions (not a fun topic but very important!) Just email for an appointment. Of course, no charge for this.

Charity

We are very proud to begin working closely with SETAC, a wonderful Gay and Lesbian Center offering a wide variety of services. They are opening a "Thrift Shop" and they need items! Contact me for information. I will be sending out an updated Wish List for not only SETAC but also items for the women in prison, items for the local "day-care centers" for the old folks, and the Regional Hospital. Now that many people have left for the season, it is a bit more difficult for many charities to obtain needed items.

Hot Topic Mondays

Many of you have asked when we will begin these again. I most certainly hope to do so in May! Please! Send your ideas for topics. Or, perhaps you would like to do a presentation. We are wide-open to topics and ideas!

A Cool Get Away

As we head into the "hot" months, think about an escape to the mountains to San Sebastian and a stay at the Hacienda Jalisco. This is our 280 year old hacienda (run by my son so yes, I am putting in a plug.) Or, put together a group and go up for the day to explore the pueblo and have a delicious lunch at the Hacienda Jalisco. It's peaceful, its calm, it's beautiful! Email for information.
