Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - October is International Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same.

That's why, each October, HealthCare Resources Puerto Vallarta focuses on Breast Cancer Awareness with a variety of special activities and events. This is not to raise any monies, it is all about creating AWARENESS! We hope that you will participate with us.

We kick off each October with our Pink Wave Cocktail. Join us for some sweet and savory nosh, pink lemonade or pink cocktail along with some absolutely amazing raffle prizes as we kick off October. This is a no charge event for men and women and no RSVP is necessary. We will transform the lobby of Hospital San Javier Marina into a lovely, pink lounge, where we will honor our breast cancer survivors and those who have passed while promoting awareness of the disease.

Please join us as Dr. Guillermo Ramos (plastic surgeon) and Dra. Claudia de Moral (breast imaging specialist) speak on "Breast Health." They will cover all aspects of breasts, from mammograms, ultrasounds, breast cancer diagnosis, self-breast exams and 2D Tomosynthesis, as well as the various types of breast surgeries, from implants to reductions, reconstruction to breast lifts. This will be a very informative and interesting event. No charge. RSVP as space is limited! Bring a friend! This will be repeated in Spanish on October 25, 2018.

Enjoy a lovely Sunday morning as we close out our month of Breast Cancer Awareness events with a Pink Brunch at Bravos. Owner Michael Boufford has put together a scrumptious menu that costs just $250 pesos per person, including gratuity. In addition to fabulous food, we will have a fashion show by La Sirena Reina, showcasing quality swimwear for women of all sizes, and celebrate our breast cancer survivors. Men are welcome, of course, but space is limited, so you MUST reserve your place.
