Che's Daughter Gives Kudos for Cuba Prensa Latina
| The daughter of the late guerrilla commander also said that Cuba expects strong support for its resolution condemning the US blockade. | Quito, Cuba - Aleida Guevara, the daughter of late guerrilla commander Ernesto Che Guevara, Sunday called for Latin American countries to firmly condemn the US criminal blockade which tries to knock down the Cuban people with hunger.
"All the countries of the world need to understand that they have power to say no to the US blockade and that is what Cuba hopes from them," Aleida Guevara told Prensa Latina a few hours after her arrival in Ecuador.
The daughter of the late guerrilla commander also said that Cuba expects strong support for its resolution condemning the US blockade.
However, she added that it is time for the world to adopt a consistent stance against the White House's hostile policy.
Regarding solidarity, Aleida Guevara asserted that Cuba has taken its goodwill everywhere in the world with its doctors and teachers, for the good of the people, so it receives love as the fruit of its labor.
Guevara stressed that contacts and friendship among Latin Americans have increased, despite their governments doing whatever they want. She said "it doesn´t matter, people continue being brothers and sisters."
Brotherhood is increasing in Latin America now with the Bolivarian Alternative for the Americas, since it shows how countries can join together in a dignified helpful way.
The daughter of Che was invited by Mayor of the Ecuadorian city of Cotacachi, Auki Tituaña, to learn about indigenous culture, offer her knowledge and also have new experiences in Medicine. |
