Bloodydecks.com's First Annual Offshore Shootout presented by Fishdope.com was hosted on San Diego Bay over the August 23rd-24th weekend. The inaugural event was a big success with 47 boats and 167 anglers competing for cash and prizes totaling over $35,000 USD.
Bloodydecks.com's First Annual Offshore Shootout presented by Fishdope.com was hosted on San Diego Bay over the August 23rd-24th weekend. The inaugural event was a big success with 47 boats and 167 anglers competing for cash and prizes totaling over $35,000 USD.
Oceanside based Team "Rickdiculous" outgunned the competition with a 5 fish, 130.4 point total with straight yellowfin tuna to claim the 1st Place Fishdope.com prize of $5000 in cash and prizes. Team "Rickdiculous" covered the board in the optional jackpots and swept all categories claiming $11,790 USD.
All the winnings combined brought Team "Rickdiculous" a cash and prize booty of $16,790 which also included a 3 day, all inclusive trip for two at the Fisherman's Fleet in La Paz, MX valued at $1250 USD.
The 2nd place Navionics Marine $2200 cash and prize package went to Team "Scott's Johnny" with 123.8 points, followed by Team "Fish to Win" with 120.8 points who earned the 3rd place Berkley $1200 cash and prize package.
Bloodydecks.com co-owner Ali Hussainy was quoted saying "We were extremely happy with the overall turnout and success of this event. We are looking forward to another great tournament season in 2009."
