Puerto Vallarta - Even in these difficult economic times, Puerto Vallarta and Banderas Bay area businesses are generously donating their products and services to raise the necessary funds to make 'Sally’s Corner,' the new children's section at Los Mangos Library, a reality.

In order to raise funds for this very special project, a dazzling fundraiser is planned for April 4, 2009 from 5:30 to 10:30 pm.

Gabriela Garcia, Chair of the event, has generously donated Villa Mandarinas the villa she owns with her husband, architect Alberto Alvarez for this event, which is expected to sell out.

Combined with the silent and live auction, ticket sales should raise the monies needed for the renovation and additions of materials and supplies to the children’s section. The new area will be dedicated to the late Sally Conley, who created a children’s library in her Pitillal home and worked tirelessly as a Board member of the Biblioteca los Mangos.

The following Puerto Vallarta businesses will be donating food and/or beverages to the Villa Mandarinas fundraiser for Sally's Corner:

Andale's Restaurant; Bacio; Bay Magazine; Kaiser Maximilian; La Dolce Vita; Los Chilaquiles; Marazul: Gutierrez Rizo; Vinos and Wine wine

Other contributors include:

Bay Magazine – promotion; Chevo's in Pitillal - food preparation; Eventful Moments – event consultations and planning; Optica Alvarez – a bus to transport guests round-trip from Cassandra Shaw to Villa Mandarinas in Mismaloya; Sierra del Mar - a second bus (one bus will leave approximately every 20 minutes)

There will also be live entertainment, including: saxophone music by Manuel Clavijo; an abbreviated performance by The Quesadivas and dance music provided by Joe "King" Carrasco and the PV All Stars

Live Auction items include:

• Three nights for up to 14 persons at Gabriela Garcia and Alberto Alvarez's Villa Mandarinas. Minimum bid is $3000 USD and includes chef and housekeeping. Value is $12,000 USD

• Two nights for two people at the Four Seasons Punta Mita Resort.

Among the businesses donating to the silent auction are:

Andales at the Beach; Casa La Vista; Cassandra Shaw; Chee Chee’s in Boca de Tomatlan; La Dulce Vida; Lalo’s; Marriott Hotel; Rancho Charro; Trio; Villa Sol Blau in Sayulita; and Vitea

Don't wait to buy your tickets! This will be a smashing event. Tickets are available for a donation of just $500 pesos per person and can be purchased at:

• Bacio Gelati Caffe - Main Plaza
• Biblioteca Los Mangos - Francisco Villa
• Cassandra Shaw Jewelry - Basilio Badillo
• Maximilian's – Olas Altas
