Banderas Bay's favorite bakery, Pie in the Sky, has been Vallarta's bakery headquarters for nearly 22 years. Their yummy cakes, pies, cupcakes, muffins, coffee, tea and their famous triple-chocolate "Besos," with their molten-fudge center, are available daily at two convenient locations: Heroe de Nacozari #202 (at the corner of Avenida Vallarta) in Bucerias (open from 8 am to 10 pm) and at Lázaro Cardenas #247 (open from 9 am to 10 pm) in Puerto Vallarta.
Now locals can enjoy a special 15% Off Discount card simply by going to any location and providing proof of residency (phone or electric bill) and another piece of picture ID. Some restrictions apply. See store for details.
"With the world's economy as it is, we wanted to offer locals of Banderas Bay the opportunity to save on all of their sweet needs," stated Susan Drexler, co-owner of Pie in the Sky. "So from now until October 18, 2009, locals will be able to swing by any Pie in the Sky, pick up their cards, and save!"

Pie in the Sky was founded in 1987 in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle on Banderas Bay's north shore, when the original owners started baking pies to raise money to fix their marooned sailboat. Using classic, family heirloom recipes, soon the Pie in the Sky product line expanded to include cakes, cookies, and the now legendary "Beso," an incredibly rich and satisfying soft-centered chocolate brownie.
