Puerto Vallarta - Barbara and Al Garvey are starting the new year with "ochos" on Al's new knee as they begin Tango classes on Monday, January 11 at J&B Dancing Club. Lessons for beginners are from 8-9 pm each Monday for five weeks; intermediate classes follow at 9 pm.

The cost for the five-week series is $250 pesos. Free practice sessions the Garveys call "practi-longas" (after the Argentinean Milonga for that country's Tango sites) will happen every Wednesday night from 8-10 pm.

J&B Dancing Club is at Francisco Medina Ascencio 2043 in the Hotel Zone. For more information please call (322) 222-8895 or email Al or Barbara at alybarbara(at)yahoo.com.

The biggest news in the Garvey household is that Galeria Uno will host the first showing of Al's paintings during the Art Walk of January 6th. Be one of the first to greet Al's venture into a Vallarta gallery and expect to see more of this multi-talented guy's designs in jewelry and whatever else strikes his fecund mind!
