HealthCare Resources Puerto Vallarta January 2011 Newsletter

December 28, 2010

For all of your Puerto Vallarta medical needs, please contact Pamela Thompson at (322) 222-9638, 044-322-107-7007, Nextel 145-6912 or send an email to pamela(at)healthcareresourcespv.com.
As we finish up the last week of 2010, it is a time to reflect on the past year. We have accomplished a lot of great things and are proud! We have learned a lot, come up with some new and innovative ideas and it is with great anticipation that we move forward into the New Year. So, hold on to your hats and prepare for a January that is jam-packed with our regular clinics, some new clinics and as well, some great programs.

HealthCare PLUSCard Program: We are continually adding benefits to this discount program which is turning out to be a great success! Check out details Here.

Emergency Services: Important number to put in your cell phone and on the fridge! Ambulancias Intermedic: 225-9289 or 145-6216. This is a 24-7 private ambulance company that I highly recommend.

These are the four most important points regarding your health care if you are here full time or part time:

1) Register with your consulate.
2) Make sure you have insurance that covers you in the area.
3) Establish yourself with a personal physician.
4) Remember that you must keep your own medical record here.

For assistance, or questions regarding the above, please contact me!

For some informative articles along with some “fun stuff” you can follow my blog HERE. You can sign up to receive updates automatically.

Northern Banderas Bay Program: With the northern part of the bay growing by leaps and bounds, we are pleased to announce a new clinic that has opened in San Pancho with a couple of others planned to be opening in the next few months. I will be spending more time “out that way” and I would like to put together a separate email list for those living in that area. Please email me if you would like to be included in this list. We are working on a “HealthCare PLUS Card Program” specifically for these areas!

Events Calendar: This is way too long to include in this newsletter – but if you are interested in a copy, please let me know. I have done my best to put together an events calendar for all charity events in the area, so people may plan accordingly.

Now, grab a cup of coffee, your calendar and see what’s happening in January.

A few “ground-rules”:

An item with a double star (**) indicates a discount for PLUS Card members.

Each and every appointment must be made via HealthCare Resources and not directly with the physician/clinic.

Remember that these are screening clinics only.

Remember that HealthCare Resources is contracted with 26 physicians – all specialties. We are very proud of our physicians! We are very picky about the physicians that we use! And remember, there is no added fees for HCR to make your appointment with the physicians. This is what we do!

Los Mangos Library Subasta: We are working very hard to make this a truly outstanding event! Come out and support Los Mangos Library – we are desperate for funds!! Los Mangos is not only a library, but a true, community center. January 28, 2011 – 6pm. Food, art auction, silent auction, fixed price auction and a raffle to rival any that has ever been done in the area! We still need volunteers to assist with the event, some food donors, prize donors – anything and everything! PLEASE! Contact me for information! And mark your calendars for March 5, 2011 for the First Annual Chile Cook-off to benefit Los Mangos. I know there are loads of great “chile-chefs” out there. Put your talent to use, have fun, try for the grand prize – all the benefit the library. Please contact me as to how you can help Los Mangos survive!

The nights have been pretty chilly here! We need blankets – for newborns at Hospital Regional to the Asilo (Old Folks Home). Also, we are always in need of medical supplies – from bandages to medications, diabetic supplies to Tylenol. I have put together a brand new “Wish List” for local charities and those in need. Please email me if you would like a copy!

We wish you the happiest, most prosperous and healthy 2011! We are here to assist with ALL of your healthcare needs! We look forward to in 2011, expanding and improving our services. Please do not hesitate contacting me with your comments, ideas, suggestions – anything!

Adelante!
