Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Jalisco governor Emilio Gonzalez was at hand, joined by Puerto Vallarta Mayor Salvador González along with other municipal authorities, in an official ceremony to launch the south shore highway improvement project this past week.
The project, which calls for a 50-million peso investment, will include replacing the road with long-lasting hydraulic concrete, the addition of a pedestrian corridor and actually expanding the highway to three lanes where the adjoining land allows for it.
The stretch to be worked on during the initial phase begins on Basilio Badillo and continues four kilometers along the highway.
