Teatro Limón Opening for the New Season

August 29, 2011

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico – One of Vallarta’s favorite restaurants, Teatro Limón, will be re-opening the season on Monday, September 12. To help celebrate, owner Bruce Byng and his entire team are throwing an opening night fiesta; ¡Vive México! ¡Vive Teatro Limón!

In celebration of Mexico’s Independence Day on September 15, the opening night fiesta will kick-off a week-long celebration of Mexican cuisine, all with a Teatro Limón twist! Guests at the opening night will enjoy signature cocktails made with tequila and raicilla and Mexican favorites including Chile en Nogada with a special cooking class on how to make huaraches. The name huarache comes from the popular Mexican sandal due to its long ovular shape. It has a fried masa base, which is then topped with green or red sauce, onions, potato, cilantro and any manner of other toppings.

Also during the month of September, Teatro Limón will be celebrating their popular Festival of Lamb. What a delicious way to kick off the new season!

Throughout season, Bruce and Teatro Limón will continue to hold their monthly special events. Launched during the summer season, the mission of these monthly special events is to bring the community together in a fun, casual setting while enjoying amazing food and learning a few tricks of the culinary trade. If you would like to be included on future emails detailing these very popular special events and to also receive special kitchen tips from Teatro Limón, please send an email to teatrolimon(at)gmail.com or join them on Facebook.

Seats for the opening night fiesta September 12 will go quickly so if you would like to secure your place, email your reservation request to teatrolimon(at)gmail.com or call 225-2606. Seating is limited and reservations will be secured on a first-come, first-served basis. After Sept. 12, Teatro Limón will be open 5 pm to midnight, Monday – Saturday.

Teatro Limón is located at Cajon de Limon #1 on the corner of Maria Montessori, behind Hospital San Javier in Puerto Vallarta's Hotel Zone. Credit cards accepted. Reservations recommended. For more information call (322) 225-2606 or visit TeatroLimon.com.
