Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - October marks the beginning of the busy winter season. All over Puerto Vallarta, life renews as shops, restaurants, and hotels spiff up for the annual influx of tourists and snow birds. Retooled menus, chef changes, and reworked decor are all par for the course - as are the openings of a plethora of new and interesting restaurants.

There has been a rash of new restaurants opening on the South side of Vallarta this year, and one to seriously take notice of is the new Bravos Restaurant Bar. Slated to open Thursday, October 10th, this casual-chic eatery will bring plenty of passion, foodie knowledge, and original recipes to the heart of the city's Romantic Zone.

Owner Michael Boufford is bringing innovative dishes to a historical part of town – and his own history ain't half bad, either. He managed one of Puerto Vallarta's most recognized restaurants for the past 5 years, and was the General Manager of a famous Toronto restaurant for 8 years. With all of this experience, Michael has devised a simple and winning formula: generous servings of mouth watering international food and drink - without the eye watering price tag.

Using only the freshest ingredients, everything on the restaurant's menu starts with one thing: a passion for food. Bravos' eclectic menu has an inclination towards homemade, healthy, and always perfectly prepared dishes.

Appetizer choices include a Warm Cherry Tomato Bruschetta and Crispy Calamari Strips, while entrees range from Shrimp and Asparagus Risotto to Braised Lamb Shank with Potato Gnocchi. Add to that a variety of scrumptious desserts, an extensive wine list, and eclectic martini options - all enhanced by soft lighting and music - and boy, are we in for a culinary treat!
