Armi Grano Performs at VYC for 'Families at the Dump'

Armi Grano is one of the finest jazz vocalists on the scene today, performing a mix of Latin, Pop, Swing, and Jazz. She has recorded 4 albums and is enjoying airplay all over N. America, Europe, and Asia.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Mark you calendars for Monday, February 3rd and plan to attend the benefit dinner-concert for the "Families at the Dump" featuring famed jazz vocalist Armi Grano at the Vallarta Yacht Club.

Armi Grano is one of the finest jazz vocalists on the contemporary jazz music scene today, performing an exciting mix of Latin, Pop, Swing, and Jazz. She has recorded 4 albums and is enjoying airplay all over Canada, USA, Mexico, England, and Asia. Originally from the Philippines, Armi has captivated audiences all over the world, singing in more than six different languages including Spanish, English, Japanese, Italian, Portuguese, and Filipino. Her influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Sara Vaughn, Astrud Gilberto, and Anita O'Day, which she has developed into her own style of music.

Ms. Grano will donate her personal fee to the Families at the Dump on behalf of the Vallarta Yacht Club. A cancer survivor, Armi has done several benefit shows to help raise money for those in need in our community and in Canada including: B.C. Children’s Hospital Telethon, Basics for Babies, CIBC Run for the Cure, and for The United Way. She has also organized a yearly fund raising concert dubbed "Feelin’ Fine" for the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation’s Chemotherapy Clinic where she received her cancer treatments in 2000.

Dinner will be served at 6:00 pm and the concert will follow. The menu for the evening will include Cream of Corn Soup, Bacon Wrapped Chicken Breast and Apple Strudel. A vegetarian entrée is also available, but must be requested when you make reservations.

This benefit will be open to the community but reservations are required and seating will be limited to 120 people. The cost for the event will be $350 pesos. Contact Rudy or Daniel at the Vallarta Yachy Club to get your seats. The phone number is (322) 297-2222.
