Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico - Puerto Vallarta is known for embracing the arts. From the many sculptures that line its Malecón to the fine art galleries that house national and international works, it is hard not to be impressed by the dynamic arts scene in this town of romantic charms and authentic Mexican traditions.

An important contribution to the city's art scene is the Centro Historico ArtWalk which, this season, is celebrating its 20th year of spotlighting the city's finest artists.

This year's ArtWalk will run from October 28, 2015 through May 25, 2016. From 6-10 pm every Wednesday evening, art lovers can explore Vallarta's numerous artistic offerings during self-guided art walk cocktail exhibitions at 9 galleries in the city's historic downtown area.

Both local and international artists display their work within these galleries, featuring art in all mediums - paintings, sculptures, pottery and folk art - so be sure to stop by to meet the artists, view new work, and share in the wealth of culture Vallarta's ArtWalk presents.

All of the galleries are located in PV's Centro Histórico, which makes walking from one gallery to another an easy and enjoyable experience. The starting point and length of stay at each gallery is up to you.
