Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Envision yourself sitting with friends in a fabulous venue, watching a great fashion show and enjoying a well-crafted 3 course meal, while helping a worthy cause... That's what you missed if you didn't attend the Pasitos de Luz fashion show at The River Café on Saturday, January 14th.

From the moment the doors opened for the Pasitos de Luz fashion show, we knew it would be a day to remember. The mood, energy and warmth were amazing.

For only $350 pesos, attendees were treated to a wonderful meal in the beautifully lush surroundings of the River Café, while models of all ages, sizes and walks of life approached the tables to showcase the latest fashions - and to show off the fabulous makeup and hair styles created by Luis Germany and his team from Malecón Salon.

This fabulous event also included a 50/50 draw and outstanding auction and raffle items generously donated by businesses and individuals in the community. If you never thought one donation could really make a difference we can tell you it does - and how!

The results came in over the top - more than ever before! Pasitos de Luz received $138,570 pesos from the generosity of the community and the 230 party-goers who bought tickets and purchased the donations from our community.

In addition, Kathleen Palmer presented Pasitos with another $49,241 pesos from clothes donated by you to the Deja New Consignment store for the Pasitos de Luz account. That's almost double the amount collected last year from your donations of gently-used clothing. Keep bringing her your clothes for Pasitos please!

This year's Pasitos de Luz fashion show was sponsored by The River Café, Kathleen Palmer from Deja New, Luis Germany from Malecón Salon, and was supported by Print PV, Cassandra Shaw Jewelry, plus the fantastic models and Pasitos de Luz volunteers who donated their time.

On behalf of Pasitos, we can't thank you enough. Your support of low income families who have children that suffer from severe physical and psychological issues is invaluable.

We have one more upcoming event this year and hope you can help us continue to make our community a better place - the Sixth Annual Riverfest, to be held on March 4th at El Rio BBQ Bar. Riverfest is a showcase for 6 to 7 local bands/musicians from around Banderas Bay. In addition to the music, people can browse artisan exhibits and feast on great BBQ along with the Bay's best paella provided by Barcelona Tapas.
