Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Under the theme "Together with Pride," from May 21 to 28, the long-awaited Vallarta Pride Festival will hold its fifth edition in Puerto Vallarta, in celebration of the vibrant community of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transvestite, Transgender, Intersexual and Queer (LGBTTIQ) through a series of art and cultural activities, concerts, parties, parades and lots of fun.
One of the first celebrities to confirm his participation in Vallarta Pride 2017 is Johnathan Celestin, a singer and songwriter from New York City who, in addition to being the Grand Marshal of the Pride parade, will have presentations at various events of the festival such as the 2017 Fashion Show at Mantamar Beach Club, Bar & Grill; And the Men's Party VIP at Casa Cupula.
Singer Johnathan Celestin has acted in several Broadway tours and has written and performed for international artists and companies such as McDonald's, Old Navy and Target, among others. He started his career by releasing his debut EP in 2012 and has since toured the East Coast of the United States promoting his music and his message. Johnathan has received almost one million views on his YouTube channel thanks to his original music and covers.
The Vallarta Pride 2017 steering committee is thrilled to have Johnathan Celestin at the Pride Festival and are pleased to confirm that in the coming weeks they will be announcing the participation of other artists as well as the events that will make up the LGBT celebration this year.
In 2016, Vallarta Pride welcomed more than 15,000 visitors, which considerably increased the number of tourists who visited Puerto Vallarta during "the season."
Vallarta Pride is an annual event celebrated during the last weekend of May. It was launched in 2013 to celebrate the diverse LGBT community that both lives in and visits Puerto Vallarta, and that over the years has positively influenced and formed part of its culture, heritage and history.
