Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - Since painting his first watercolors more than 30 years ago, Montreal artist Yvan Genest has lived, painted, and exhibited in many cities and countries, while building his unique iconography. He has created thousands of original paintings, drawings, watercolors, pastels, etchings, engravings and digital works.
During the last three years Yvan has written and conceived an art book covering 30 years of his paintings. The book will include 264 fully illustrated pages, printed on high quality paper and locally produced in a limited and numbered edition of 500.
Yvan was prompted to create this book because people keep telling him that they always discover new details and meanings in his paintings, even after they have been looking at them for years.
This fascinating Art Book will contain:
• Hundred of photos of Yvan's works and the studios he's worked in over the years;
• Yvan's own and original writings about art and its practice;
• His reflections about the shamans, musicians, kings, bishops, princes, cyclists and other spirits that people his works;
• Anecdotes about the hands, birds, airplanes, boots and hearts of his very particular iconography.
In order to publish his book, Yvan launched a fundraising campaign on Kickstarter, a famous Web platform that helps people finance their creative work. The campaign will end on March 21, 2017.
If you would you like the GENEST 3 Decades art book to underscore your collection, take a look at his Kickstarter page, and explore his book project through a video clip. Here, you can also explore the various REWARDS offered for pledging to the project.
You have to pledge for the book to exist. If Yvan doesn't reach his financial goal, Kickstarter won't take any money from you, and the book won't be published.
On the other hand, if enough people promise to buy the book or get one of the beautiful Rewards he's offering, then his magical art book will become a reality.
