Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The 'Illumination' dinner, show and art auction held at Casa Karma on December 8th was a huge success, raising much-needed funds for Pasitos de Luz, a day care facility for disabled children from low income families in Puerto Vallarta.
Oh, what a night! From the moment the art was on display and the tables were set, Casa Karma was alive. The elegance, the food, the entertainment, the art, and the people - it was an evening to remember! At the silent auction, 58 of 70 Stan Olthuis paintings were snapped up by happy buyers. Everyone came out a winner in the most magical evening.
We can't begin to thank all of our sponsors - a three course dinner by Barrio Bistro, Tintoque, and De Cantaro served at tables by Memo Wulff and staff, welcome drink from ARRE raicilla, art by Stan Olthuis, entertainment by Paul Fracassi and all of our background supporters PVPrint, VTA Vallarta Travel Advisor, Rocco Troyani, Mac Event, Producciones Estrellas, all the volunteers and of course, the amazingly kind and generous Georgia Darehshori of Casa Karma.
Most of all we thank our patrons who attended the event and made it the success that exceeded our expectations. We were sold out with 143 people in attendance.
And the results, WOW! Our current total is $293,500 pesos raised by everyone involved with a few anticipated final donations taking it to $300,000 pesos!
A million thanks from the children of Pasitos de Luz!
