Puerto Vallarta, Mexico - The 8th Annual Riverfest fundraiser for Pasitos de Luz, held March 2 and 3, 2019 at El Rio BBQ Bar was an overwhelming success! This two-day charity event garnered a record-breaking $522,532 pesos for the 130 special needs children who receive care at the Pasitos de Luz @ Casa Connor in Puerto Vallarta.

We are speechless. This year's Riverfest exceeded more than we had dreamed!

Thanks go to so many who helped make the event such a success - the musicians, the businesses and individuals who donated auction items, and the approximately 70 volunteers and more than 1000 attendees who helped us bring the house down!

The food, presented by El Rio BBQ Bar, Barcelona Tapas, and Portobello, was outstanding! Each of these restaurants donated time and food at cost or donated a percentage of net revenues. Artisan vendors donated some of their proceeds, and individual attendees added contributions throughout the event. Add all of this together and the kids of Pasitos de Luz and their families came out the real winners!

Event proceeds will help Pasitos support the 130 special needs children and their families, most of whom live below the poverty line, who receive much-needed care through the services provided by Pasitos de Luz @ Casa Connor.

These 100% FREE services include: basic care and hygiene, therapies (physical, speech, massage and more), medicine, nutrition (including two meals a day), special education classes, exercise and recreational therapy programs, and access to specialists, doctors and psychologists. And it's life changing for the Pasitos kids - and their families.
