| OH MY GOD!!!!! the best meal EVER!!!! my fiance and i have been together for two years and we both agreed the meal we had at El Palomar was the best meal we have shared together!!!! we had the caesar salad for two and it was to DIE FOR! then we had the seafood platter for two, oh my god i can't even put into words how good this is! and the margarita's, soooooo good! we will definately be back when we visit PV again. and so affordable and the best restaurant ambiance ever, best view!Jenna Coghill | |

| I went to dinner at El Palomar with my husband and his brother and wife. It was a wonderful experience all the way around. The view was beautiful and the service was out of this world good!! Also, the food was the best we had all week in Vallarta. This was definitely what we needed for this trip and I would recommend it to everyone. We were there in the "rainy season" and it did rain during our dinner. The overhang on the roof more than covered us though and we were able to enjoy the shower and cool breeze. We have been coming to PV each spring for the last 5 years and never miss having dinner at least once at El Palomar. The food is the best to be found in and around Puerto Vallarta. El Palomar de Los Gonzalez is the best hidden gem in Puerto Vallarta, we truly agreed on that. We had the special plate of the day and every bite was exquisite. After the meal the owner in person came to our table with a shot of exquisite liquor that can turn anyone to a nice romantic night, highly recommended, we don't even remember the name but we are going back for the second shot! I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you and to tell you how lovely my dining experience was! The food was amazing and the setting was very romantic! Thanks for the best seat in the house! My husband and I came to dine on Friday, Sept. 8th, we are now home, back in San Jose, California. Absolutely incredible atmosphere, service that would impress any traveler, food you would never find prepared elsewhere. We had the Seafood platter, which was absolutely awesome, really good. The shrimp were delicious, next time I come I'll just order the shrimp; it was all good but the shrimp were outrageous! Considered a "view" restaurant, overlooking the city and bay. We have eaten at Palomar de los Gonzales on two occasions. Once was in May, the off-season. Everything was wonderful, the food and service were great, we couldn't say enough good about the place. The following year we returned during high season, 2nd week of January, and it was a real shocker. The food was mediocre ... and prices had ballooned. I could only surmise that they are harder pressed during high season, having to hire folks outside this family run operation. We will give them another next time we are in town; hopefully the bad experience was a fluke.Honeybee |

I have been to Puerto Vallarta twice in the past year. The first time we went, we ate at the El Palomar de los Gonzalez. It is an absolutely incredible setting - very, very romantic. We ate there twice in the first week we were there and when we went back this past Christmas, we ensured that we went there again and took some friends who were highly impressed. The food is excellent and the view is beautiful. You should really try to eat there.Helen |
