Kamakura Restaurant
"What a refreshing change!"

Vallarta's first Japanese restaurant exemplifies that nation's culinary tradition. With the most extensive sushi bar in town, Kamakura is also the only place in Puerto Vallarta that serves authentic Japenese food cooked at your table by expert chefs.

The restaurant's casually contemporary atmosphere and international ambience make Kamakura the ideal place to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries. In keeping with ancient Japanese design traditions, Kamakura has rock gardens and waterfalls softly lit with colored lights and Japanese music that perfectly compliments the serene décor.

And meals simply couldn’t be fresher, prepared with flair right in front of you by a sushi chef working in the Teppanyaki style. The "Teppan-style" is a popular dining experience, characterized by combining exotic Japanese dishes with a dazzling presentation of knife skills.

Crunchy tempura ice cream drizzled with fruit sauce sweetens this exotic experience. An appealing hot sake and icy Sapporo are also favourites. Serving dinner from 5:00 pm to midnight, 2 X 1 on Tuesdays and 20% discounts for residents. Prices Range from $15-$25 USD. Cash, Visa, Master Card and American Express are accepted. Reservations recommended. Parking available.

RECOMMEND PROBLEM QUESTION
Kamakura's was fun, the chef cooks your food right in front of you and they put us at a grill/table with 2 other couples, which I liked because they were pretty entertaining and we got to know some other people from the resort. The food was pretty delicious too.
Sandy
The service was much better than we found in other places in PV. Definitely eat at Kamakura while in Puerto Vallarta.
Jack
We weren't expecting good Japenese food in Mexico, but we loved Kamakura. What a refreshing change!
Krista
We experienced several very good restaurants throughout the week we spent in Puerto Vallarta, but Kamakura, the Japenese restaurant attached to the very upscale Krystal hotel, was by far the best!
