The Deli in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, is the city's gourmet, take-out hot spot. It simply redefines food-to-go. Whether you are looking for fresh baked goods, an office lunch, or food for an open house or a swinging cocktail party The Deli should be your choice. They also offer a great picnic lunch for beach, boat ride or plane trip.

This carry out establishment opened its doors in January 2007. There have been changes in the menu and confirmed favorites among its loyal customers. All the stellar selections are wrapped, packed and ready to go.

Popular salads include the Broccoli, Raisin and Pecan and the Chicken Curry with apples and grapes. The Deli is the only place you will find Tequila-cured Gravlax, Chicken Terrine, homemade Chicken Liver Paté and Meatloaf. They are also introducing homemade pasta sauces, Pesto, Alfredo and Marinara.

You can expect fresh breads daily. Baskets of bagels, cinnamon rolls, scones and cookies line the counter along with French-style baguettes, Focaccia, bread sticks (Grissini), and whole wheat loaves. Plus, ask about special order breads like Challah and others.

All the sandwiches are made-to-order, and go perfect with some salad and, of course, a cookie. There is also a breakfast bagel sandwich.

At The Deli, they approach catering differently. They focus on the entire event, creating the mood, atmosphere and surroundings you will remember long after the plates are cleared. And you will see that service is every bit as important as the food or the setting.

The Deli is located on Venustiano Carranza 311-A between Insurgentes and Constitución and is open Monday through Saturday from 8 am-7 pm.
