Vallarta's Old Town Farmers Market-Tianguis Cultural Make It, Bake It, Grow It
| Located in Lazaro Cárdenas Park on PV's South side, the Old Town Farmers' Market-Tianguis Cultural is open every Saturday from 9:30 am-2 pm from the first Saturday in November until April 25, 2015. | | Puerto Vallarta's favorite weekend attraction - the Old Town Farmers Market-Tianguis Cultural - is a blend of the old-world Mexican tianguis and the North American-style market. Over 100,000 national and international shoppers peruse the over 80 vendor booths of this "producer only" market. All products are made, baked, grown and sold by vendors who live within 75 kilometers of Puerto Vallarta.
Enjoy live musical entertainment and rich aromas of baked bread and freshly ground coffee as you stroll through the market. Fill your shopping bags with "make it, bake it, grow it" goodies such as farm-to-table produce, herbs, flowers and artisan foods such as oven fired breads, baked goods, salsa's and dips, jams, jellies, chocolate, organic coffee, locally made Mexican & Italian cheeses, fresh pasta, quiche, meat pies, perogies, Greek yogurt and more.
The OTFM-TC vendors also provide a wide assortment of unique arts & crafts made by local producers: custom-made bathing suits and sandals, jewelry and accessories, greeting cards, home accessories, hand rolled cigars, tinctures, all-natural skincare products, Huichol art and traditional Mexican musical instruments.
On-site services include sessions with a board certified chiropractor and a professional massage therapist. Nonprofit groups are on hand to keep you informed about local fundraising efforts and calendar events.
After shopping, relax with friends and enjoy our "prepared on-site" international fare: traditional Mexican tacos, tamales, burritos and empanadas as well as Thai entrees, Indian cuisine, lip-smacking ribs, raspados, aguas frescas and chocolate dipped bananas.
You can meet new friends, say hello to old ones, talk directly to the producers, buy great products, support the local economy and take part in activities for the whole family. We invite you to visit us every week from the first Saturday in November until April 25, 2015 between 9:30 am and 2 pm.
The OTFM-TC is located in Lazaro Cárdenas Park (kitty-corner from Daiquiri Dick's on Olas Altas). It is pet friendly as well as wheelchair and stroller accessible. Parking is also available for only $10 pesos an hour in the underground parkade.
For more information, contact the Market Cooordinator at coordinator(at)oldtownfm.com, visit our website or friend us on Facebook. To become a vendor, please visit us at the OTFM-TC Information Booth, where you can pick up and drop off an application.
